Asheville’s Glorious Handmade Quilts
For 33 years, the WNC Agriculture Center has hosted the Annual Quilt Show promoting beauty through the art of quality. More than 300 of Asheville’s glorious, handmade quilts from artists living in 13 states are on display.
Professional quilters judge the entries awarding ribbons in many categories including children, groups and individuals.
You may not quilt, but you can appreciate the talent, skills and patience artist possess to create beautiful and intricate pieces. From landscapes, to story telling these master pieces are no longer to cover beds, but to display as a work of art.
Asheville also offers beginner quilting groups to advanced workshops for the experienced.
So if you want to learn a new skill or just enjoy looking at grand prize winning vibrant pieces, the October Expo in Asheville is outstanding!
